[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A dedicated Taiwan Park is coming up near Bengaluru, as per an assurance given by the Karnataka government to a delegation of Taiwan businessmen that it will provide space for a dedicated ‘Taiwan Park’ near Bengaluru. The assurance from the State Government was given after a delegation representing 10 businesses from Taiwan called on Minister for Large & Medium Industries & Infrastructure Development, Sri R. V. Deshpande.
Interacting with the Industries Minister, JHY Group CEO, Mr. Cooper, said a lot of mid-size industries are planning to set up manufacturing units and are expected to invest around $1,000 million in Karnataka in the next two years.
The L&M Minister reportedly told the visiting Taiwan business delegation that the State Government is planning a hardware tech park near Devanahalli. He also gave them the option of Vemgal in Kolar district.
According to reports, the delegation of 10 companies represents automotive, plastic injection and moulding, machine tools and consumer goods, among others. Taiwan industrialists are the oldest investors in China and are now looking at broadening their investments and exploring setting up a base in India.
JHY recently set up a factory in Malur taluk. “The company has sought a dedicated ‘Taiwan Park’ near Bengaluru. The minister has assured he would give an option soon,” Mr. Cooper said.
Responding to the development, PIA President Sri R. Krishnamurthy averred that the coming up of Taiwan Park near Bengaluru will be a big boost to local vendors as the Taiwanese businesses represent the core strength of the local MSMEs, viz. machine tools, plastic injection and moulding, and automotive components. “Entrepreneurs in Peenya are a powerhouse in machine tools, injection and moulding, and automotive components and so we would benefit a lot if such a proposal materializes,” he said.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
