Peenya Industries Association (PIA) President Sri. Malyadri Reddy and Treasurer Sri. Ashwath Narayan Rao S., met Sri. N M Jai Bharath, Deputy General Manager, Kennametal India Ltd., in connection with the “Peenya Industries Run” that will be held on 19 August 2018.
The PIA team invited Kennametal India Ltd to be one of the associated partners for the event that is being held for a “Green, Clean and Healthy Peenya”, an environmental cause. With the need to adopt environment-friendly measures increasing, the PIA and its members decided to “go green”.
The event is one of the several initiatives towards environmental awareness. The PIA recently announced environment-friendly measures such as setting up of a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in the Peenya industrial area, and using solar energy as much as possible. In the State Budget presented in the first week of July, the Karnataka government recently announced a grant of INR 10 crores for setting up the plant.
