[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A business delegation from FKCCI and Peenya Industries Association (PIA) headed to the Czech Republic for strengthening ties with the MSME fraternity there. Sri C. Prakash, Hon. Secretary, PIA was part of the Delegation. History was made on June 6 when PIA along with the FKCCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic.
In a special message from Hon’ble Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure of Karnataka, Sri R.V. Deshpande, the Delegation told the hosts that the Karnataka Government hoped that “the MoU signed by PIA and FKCCI would bring more and more investments to Karnataka by using the excellent facilities available in the State”.
Explaining the background to the signing of the MoU by PIA, President Sri R. Krishnamurthy recalled that around three months ago a 20-Member Delegation from the Czech Republic visited Bengaluru to discuss emerging
Opportunities in Healthcare, Engineering, Construction, Banking, and Medical Equipments in particular. Prior to that Mr. Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, in his interaction with Industry bodies during his visit to Bengaluru, referred to plans to open visa application offices in more cities in India.
After the signing ceremony, the delegates from PIA and FKCCI greeted Mr. Karel HAVLICEK, Chairman, Association of Small & Medium-sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic, and other participants on the historic achievement. PIA presented a gist of the Focus Sectors in Peenya Industrial Area, South-East Asia’s largest extension, where business opportunities abound viz. Manufacturing, Agro & Food Processing, IT, BT & ESDM, Textiles & Garments, Energy, Infrastructure, Automotive & Auto Components, Aerospace & Defence, Heavy Engineering & Machine Tools, and Pharma.
Later, Sri M.C. Dinesh, President, FKCCI, Sri C. Prakash, Secretary, PIA and Sri C.S. Prakash, MD, Pushpak, called on H.E. Sri Krishan Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic who briefed the delegation about the mutual business opportunities available in the small and medium scale sectors in both countries. The delegates also interacted with the local officials and entrepreneurs including Sri Venkatachalam, Secretary, Embassy of Republic of India, Sri P. Harish, Ripple Technologies, Mr.C.S.Ramesh, Sunrise Technology, Mr. Libor Musil, Chairman of the Board, Karol HAV LICEK, Chairman, AMSP CR, Ms. Eva SVOBODOVA, General Director, AMSP CR, among others.

For the information of PIA Members and Entrepreneurs in Peenya, India is participating as “Partner Country” in the 59th Edition of MSV Brno Fair scheduled to be held from Oct 9 to 13 at Brno, Czech Republic. India’s participation is being organized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India. Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India is the nodal agency that is coordinating India’s participation in this all important Fair.
