It’s a good news for PIA members that M.D. of BESCOM, Shri Rajendra Cholan has sanctioned IPDS Project to PIA. It’s a PIAs Team 2017-18 continuous effort and follow up Since 3 years to bring and implement IPDS Project with the co-ordination of EE, AEE and AEs of BESCOM, Peenya Division.Here are the details of work undergoing under IPDS Project.
I. Conversion of over head (OH) 11kv Line & Lt Line by 400  square mm. Underground cable (UG cable) from Brindavan  Mega Unit Service station (MUSS) to Doddanna Industrial Estate Area and for G.K.W  Layout with respective to 11KV  F5 and F7 respectively .
The main purpose of this implementation is to strengthening of 11kv line (HT) for reducing interruption level and decentralization of concentrated load (over load) with multi loops using latest communicable Ring main units (R M U).  Contract has been awarded to M/s. L & T. Company is planning to commence the work from 15th October 2017, tentatively.
II. Hon M.D, BESCOM Shri Rajendra Cholan has initiated new Endeavour by making N4 Sub-division as a model sub-division. In this future the following work proposed for Peenya Industrial Area in Co-ordination with KERC and PIA.1. Conversion of entire 11kv(HT) and LT over head lines by UG cable with all modem technology to provide quality power to industrial suburb for improving Industrial  activities in much better position.
2. Providing smart meters to bring accuracy in billing system to enable the consumers for planning their consumption.
3. Introduction of Fast Track on line service (FTNC) to new connection registering directly online up to 7.5kw  LT basis within short period (approximately 48hrs ) for the domestic and commercial consumers .
4. Upgrading of 66kv/11kv Sub – station to 220kv /66kv line.
5. Up gradation of providing additional 66kv line for Nelagadarana Halli Sub-station by making loop in loop out (LILO).
6. Augmentation of Nelagadarana Halli Sub-station by providing additional 31.5MVA Power Transformer in addition to existing 2 Nos 20 MVA Power Transformer.
7. Augmentation  in Brindavan  Sub-station by providing additional 31.5MVA Power Transformer
8. In addition to above point 7. 3nos of 11kv new feed as proposed for evacuation from SRS 220kv sub-station to reduce burden of local on peenya 2stage Industrial consumers.9. Nearly 100nos of additional Distribution Transformer (250KVA,100KVA,63KVA)has been proposed for quality Power supply in off load condition.
10.Refurbishment work of all Transformer controls and remaining Hazardous location .BESCOM is spending nearly to Rs 10 crore to improve the (HT &LT) lines across all industries and peripheral areas like PIA.
