[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress, coalition partners in the Karnataka government, have finally agreed about the portfolios. Congress, the major coalition partner, will have 21 more ministers. The JD(S), led by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will have 11 more. All the ministers will be sworn-in on 6 June 2018 in the first expansion of the cabinet.
Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala will be in New Delhi attend the all-India Governors’ Conference from 3 to 5 June 2018. Therefore, the swearing-in of all the 32 ministers has been fixed on 6 June 2018 at 2pm.
According to Congress Karnataka in-charge Venugopal, leaders of both the parties have agreed for 22 ministers from the Congress including
Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Horticulture & Sericulture, Small-Scale Industries, Transport and Minor Irrigation portfolios.
The Congress will have Home, Irrigation, Bengaluru Development, Industries, Health, Revenue/Muzrai, Urban Development, Rural Development, Agriculture, Medical Education, Housing, Labour, Women & Child Welfare, Forest & Environment, Mines & Geology, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, IT, BT and Science & Technology, Kannada Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs, Haj & Wakf and Minority Affairs, and Ports & Inland Transport Development departments.In addition, the JD(S) and Congress decided to set up a coalition coordination committee that will meet once a month.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
