[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) organised the “Swachchata Pakwada” from 16 th to 30 th June 2018 as part of the union government’s Swachch Bharat initiative. Upon completion of this cleanliness campaign, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Giriraj Singh presented the Swachhata Awards to the MSMEs for their active involvement in India’s clean and green mission.
Industrial clusters, industry associates and field offices of National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), DC (MSME) and Coir Board were among the organisations that received felicitations during the event for their support and contribution towards the Prime Minister-initiated Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The MSME ministry gave the Swachhata awards for the second year, thus encouraging healthy competition among the industrial clusters and estates and its field offices for Swachhata.
The Swachhata Pakhwada fortnight witnessed the ministry and its subordinates such as KVIC, NSIC, National Institute for MSME and MSME-Development Institutes involving in several activities such as rainwater harvesting, building pits for converting garbage to manure, adopting toilets in government schools for maintenance. In addition, it involved awareness campaigns and seminars on new and innovative technologies on cleanliness.
At the Swachhata Pakhwada awards event, MSME Minister Giriraj Singh said that the MSME Ministry and its subordinate offices are educating the MSMEs about an environment-friendly approach in their manufacturing processes and maintaining industrial cleanliness and hygiene among the workers. In addition, they are educating MSMEs about the need to set up effluent treatment plants and adopt
