[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Team PIA led by President Sri R. Krishnamurthy and Office Bearers raised several issues of critical importance to entrepreneurs in Peenya at a meeting convened by Hon’ble Minister for SSI, Sri Ramesh L. Jarkiholi at Vidhana Soudha on August 22.
“We forcefully represented some problems encountered by entrepreneurs in Peenya with regard to delay in issue of sale deeds and raw materials procurement from KSSIDC,” the PIA President informed. “The commissioning of the Greater Peenya Project has been delayed for many years despite our repeated pleas to speed up the project. Explaining the background to the grievance, Sri Krishnamurthy pointed out that many entrepreneurs from Peenya had applied for allotment of Industrial Sheds at the proposed Greater Peenya Industrial Estate. After much delay and follow up by PIA, the allotments were made. Even so, there were still some pending cases and even in cases where allotment was made, possession of Industrial Sheds was yet to be given.
The problem was compounded since many of those who had applied for the Industrial Plots had raised funds at high interest and with the delay in getting allotment or possession of industrial plot running into many years, their business plans had come to a standstill, and worse, they were burdened with additional financial commitment by way of repaying the money they had borrowed with interest for applying for an industrial plot in the Greater Peenya project.
“The Minister gave us a patient hearing and we are hopeful that things will move faster in the days ahead. However if the delay persists and there is no change in the scenario, we are going to raise the issue with the Chief Minister and see that justice is done to our entrepreneurs, said Sri Krishnamurthy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
